Zombies, costumes and a concert

Pattaya holds its Halloween festival on Saturday, 31 October 2026. The venues are Walking Street and Pattaya Beach. In the public areas, admission is free.

The organisers have announced a parade under the motto “Awakening Ghosts with Music”, a contest for creative Halloween costumes and a mini concert by Noi of the band Prou. If you like, you can dress up and join in.

How the evening runs

The published programme gives these times:

  • 17:00 to 21:00: free Halloween face painting
  • 19:15: zombie dance parade
  • 20:00: opening with the mayor
  • 20:15: costume contest, judged by film directors
  • 21:00: mini concert
  • 22:15: DJ set with house music
  • 23:00: end

Exactly where the concert takes place has not been confirmed. Ask on site whether it will be on Walking Street or on the beach. No festival-specific road closures have been published. Walking Street is car-free from about 19:00 anyway; you will find more in the destination guide Pattaya.

Why the festival is only happening now

A year ago the evening programme was cancelled. After the death of Queen Mother Sirikit, the country was in state mourning, and the parade, street festival and haunted house were postponed to 2026. Only a seminar with film directors took place.

More going on around the weekend

There are parties as early as Friday, 30 October. At Terminal 21, the haunted house “The Four Nightmares” runs until 1 November for 50 baht, with Thai ghost stories from four regions. The weekend brings visitors to the city. If you don’t have a room yet, look now; you will find tips in the guide Accommodation and hotels.

Watch your valuables in the crowd

In dense crowds, pickpockets have an easy job. Take your phone, one card and some cash, and leave the rest at the hotel. How to avoid trouble over prices and rides is explained in the guide Scams and safety.
