Which routes are cancelled

The budget airline Nok Air has temporarily cancelled its domestic flights from Don Mueang to Trang, Nakhon Si Thammarat and Hat Yai. The pause runs from 27 October to 20 December 2026. Nok Air chief Wutthiphum Jurangkool names sharply higher kerosene prices as the reason. The airline is using the aircraft on other routes, and more flights to India are among the additions planned.

Trang Airport has confirmed the cancellation of flights DD592 and DD593. In the booking system, all three destinations are blocked until 20 December. So you cannot book these routes with Nok Air during that period.

How to get your money back

Anyone who booked directly with Nok Air gets the ticket price refunded. Processing takes 45 to 90 days, so do not count on the money for short-term expenses.

For bookings made through a travel agency, there are two options: a full refund or a replacement flight with Nok Air from Krabi province. The travel agency has to advance the money to the travellers first and then claims it back from the airline within the 45 to 90 days.

What this means for your trip

The report only concerns Nok Air. Whether other airlines continue to fly these routes, you can see in the flight search for your date. If you are heading south, check the connection before booking, and if you already have tickets, keep an eye on the airline’s emails.

The airlines scaling back in the south was already visible in the winter schedule: the report Fewer direct flights to Krabi, Koh Samui and Hat Yai explains how sharply international connections are falling. For other ways to get around Thailand, see the guide Getting around Thailand.
